In general, if you are interested in starting or returning to hockey, contact us and we will be happy to figure out where you can start with the NYCGHA. Here are some specific suggestions:

Join our Fan Club

Join the ever-growing NYCGHA Fan Club! It's 100% free. Here are some of the benefits to being in the club:

• Advanced notice on NYCGHA merchandise and offers
• Information on "big games" and social events organized by NYCGHA
• Invitations to special events for the Fan Club members only

Enter your e-mail address and select whether you wish to join or leave the Fan Club. You must reply to the confirmation e-mail that you will receive in a few minutes to confirm your request. The NYCGHA will not share your e-mail address with third parties.

Information for beginners

Check out our collection of tidbits for beginning hockey players. Everything from, "OK. How do I put on all this gear?" to "Where am I supposed to stand in face-offs near my goaltender?" You should also check out Hockey 101 in our Bulletin Board.

Sub in a game

A great way to try out for a team and meet our members! If you would like to be considered as a team alternate, please let us know. The alternate fee is $30 per game, the same price as a rostered player. Note that you must be a member of the NYCGHA and follow our Code of Conduct. Contact us for more information.
