Memories of Chelsea Challenge 2001
- I remember regretting that I ate two egg McMuffins for breakfast on the way to the rink.
- I remember Kelly Owen falling backwards in disbelief after scoring on a dribbling slapper from the point.
- I remember the Boston players at Barracuda protecting their goalie from some feared "corruption" by New Yorkers.
- I remember the great post-game party and eating Judy's birthday cake in the boys dressing room!
- I remember being stunned that all of my games started on time.
- I remember hauling a LOT of cases of frozen water!
- I remember getting the nerve to talk to the cutest goaltender, other than Chris B.
- I remember a lot of sweaty hockey equipment.
- I remember an incredible job by the Chelsea Challenge organizers.
- I remember falling down as I was accepting my championship medal.
- I remember four days after the tournament, and my hockey gear is still wet!!!
- I remember four games in 36 hours.
- I remember putting on a cold and wet jock for game three.
- I remember the smell in the equipment room.
- I remember having an awesome weekend!!! Where were we? Oh, yeah! Sky Rink...er, uh, New York City.
- I remember sleeping in the dressing room Saturday night after the best Girl Party in town!
- I remember getting on the ice for game four - achy, bruised, exhausted, gear soaked - looking at a teammate and saying, "I love hockey."
- I remember the red ribbon goes on the blue balloons... the blue goes on the red!
- I remember the hit I took in game 2... no, perhaps I don't remember that.
- I remember the Altoids boys.
- I remember thinking that maybe cheerleading isn't such a bad sport switch after all!
