Ed was raised on a farm in the wilds of rural Michigan, working long hours from a very early age to get by on the land and make something of himself. It is said that Ed can milk a cow, a talent he is often requested to demonstrate within the circles he runs in NYC. Living a mere 20 something miles from Canada he was victimized by Canadian television stations which bombarded the airwaves with hockey and curling. "Curling is something that no one understands, not even the Canadians, but hockey seemed to make a little sense," he says.

Although school and chores dominated his life, every winter he managed to find time to strap on hockey skates and hit the pond on the back 40 with his sister and her "weak ankles." The only hockey he ever played was with a few of the local farm kids. Ed claims, "I was one of the few who had an actual hockey stick, the other used, well, an actual stick. There were no rules and we used a rock instead of a puck."

Ed's recent (near) mid-life crisis has caused him to act-out some extreme behavior, such as deciding how to learn to play hockey for real.

Ed is an immigration lawyer and lives in Chelsea. Being newly single after 18 years he is thrilled to have an online profile other than on Manhunt.
