Despite living most of his life in the Northeast, Mike didn't get into hockey until after he moved to sunny California. During a Christmas time trip back east he went to his first New York Rangers game and instantly fell in love with the game. When he moved to New Hampshire for business school, he jumped at the opportunity to join a "tripod" recreational hockey league. After graduation Mike returned to the New York City area to work as a healthcare consultant and started to sub for the NYCGHA soon after. Mike is now a proud member of the NYCGHA Polar Bears defensive line.
