Franklin, or how everyone else calls him Gregg, followed the trend that his family has had for so long: everyone has played hockey. Gregg started out playing goalie at age 12 and has continued up until 2007 where he exchanged the duties of blocking the goals for scoring goals.

Gregg was introduced to the gay hockey atmosphere back at the Chelsea Challenge '07 and since joined the NYCGHA as an alternate on top of playing for the team he plays for in the Hartford area with his three younger brothers.
